Education
CURE’s other focus is surrounding education. The education sector of CURE is focused on collaborating with US-based and other global non-profits to enhance work in cancer prevention and early detection through education initiatives run by Johns Hopkins Students. Through education, citizens can understand the importance of early detection and the signs and symptoms of cancer. Educating the public about available screening tests and guidelines can encourage individuals to participate in regular screenings, which can catch cancer in its early stages.
The education sector of CURE will also have a group focused on the redevelopment of the Maryland education system to include crucial information on cancer prevention, detection, and research. More information on this outreach group will be available on this page by late March, 2025.
